COLD PROCESSED SOAPS

One of the main benefits of cold process soap making is having complete control over ingredients. This is why we chose this process. Like all of our Scrubba products, we are very particular about what goes into them. Cold process soap has no added detergents, which strip the skin of its natural oils and can cause allergic reactions. Additional ingredients are also added to increase the skin loving benefits, like oats, kaolin and a bunch of other botanicals. Depending on the ingredients you use, cold process soap making typically yields a long-lasting bar of soap.

Cold process soaps are better for the environment, healthier for the skin and can be made incredibly moisturising with limitless designs and recipes. The only limit is your creativity.

Silky smoothness is a hallmark of cold-processed soap. This is primarily due to the olive oil base, a luxury that is practically unheard of in big name bars. Another advantage of utilising pure vegetable oils like coconut oil is that you can guarantee a rich lather.

Patience is a virtue. Cold process requires an super long 6-8 weeks curing time to complete the entire process, the longer the better. (Yep, our soaps DO get better with age!) That explains why they are more expensive than other types of handmade soap, but when you’re doing something, you might as well do it the best and we really think our soaps are the best!
