We’ve been teasing for the last 6 months that we have some special new products in research and development and we are getting very close to launching them! We have a line of face oils and serums coming, with one to suit every skin’s desire. So developing face oils has required a lot of research into what we want to use that fits with the Scrubba Body ethos as well as being super effective with clinically proven results. We’ve learnt a lot during this journey and even me, who follows skin care news like a religion, has delved deep into new ingredients I’ve not heard of. Starting with Watermelon Seed Oil. It comes from, you guessed it, watermelon seeds! Watermelon seed oil is a fine, light oil that absorbs quickly, and penetrates deeply into skin. It contains a multitude of nutrients that are incredibly beneficial for skin, health, and beauty, including linoleic and oleic acid, omega 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids, Vitamin A, B, and E, and a host of minerals, including magnesium, iron, copper, and potassium.
All skin types benefit from watermelon seed oil because it is light, quick to absorb, and clarifying for those with oily skin. However, because it hydrates and protects with antioxidants, minerals, and unsaturated fatty acids, it is also nutritious and helpful for dry skin. Even the most delicate skin will responds wonderfully to our clean, conscientious solutions.
Watermelon seed oil is the perfect oil for cleansing since it deeply penetrates the skin and gets rid of pollutants, grime, and dead skin. Linoleic acid-rich oils aid with oily skin and acne by acting to clear and eliminate excess sebum. They also help to clarify pores by dissolving debris and pollutants, leaving your face cleansed and nourished.
Watermelon seed oil is a powerhouse in the fight against wrinkles and early ageing due to its high linoleic and oleic acid content. Vitamin E, a potent antioxidant that prevents free radical damage, is also included in this oil in a healthy proportion. Phytosterols and omega-6 essential fatty acids promote skin cell renewal and new collagen formation.
The Vitamin E in watermelon seed oil prevents free radical damage, boosts blood circulation, and has been demonstrated to lessen puffiness in any part of the skin brought on by excessive water retention.
Skin looks uneven when certain areas of the skin have more melanin than others, making those areas appear darker than the rest, a condition also known as hyperpigmentation. Watermelon seed oil contains trace minerals and omega acids that have been proved to lessen the appearance of hyperpigmentation.
